About EQ Analytics

EQ Analytics is an independent publisher covering betting markets. The product is a report: what is inside a betting line, what moved it, and what could break it. The reports lay out the evidence. Decisions belong to the reader.

The two numbers

Our reports carry a figure and a grade, and the company's initials stand for both.

  • The Evidence Quotient is our number for where a line should sit, built from sources we name and printed next to the market's number so you can see exactly where we disagree.

  • The Evidence Quality is a grade from 0 to 5 for how much real proof stands behind our number that day. The two are kept separate on purpose. A confident number can rest on thin evidence, and when it does, the grade says so.

A report written in the opening weeks of a season will tell you openly that it runs on last year's rosters and carries a low grade, because honesty about the evidence is the product.

Where the ideas come from

Two borrowed ideas sit under everything we publish.

From horse racing we took exactly one thing: the trip. Sharp race-watchers learned long ago that a final time hides how a race was actually run, so they watch the trouble, the ground lost, the pace that collapsed. We apply that to football, basketball and other sports and markets. A 34-17 win can contain a struggling team. A three-point loss can contain a good one. Our reports examine how the score was built before trusting what it says.

If you don’t think this is true, think back on how your NFL Survivor league went the last few years. Half the pool gone by week five… Why? Because with many things in sports, you’re never as bad as your last loss, and never as good as your last win. It’s about “Game Dynamics.” And we track it.

From systematic investing we took the process: fixed checklists, the same steps every week, a price treated as an opinion to be tested, and results audited whether they flatter us or embarrass us.

Neither tradition is the product. The record is the product, and it gets built one graded, stamped report at a time.

How the work gets done

The research is done by AI agents. We say that plainly because it is true, and because it is the point. For every covered game, our agents read hundreds of sources: weather stations, injury reports, roster files, play-by-play records, line histories. We blow the token budget so you don't have to.

What the machines find is only raw material. We run it through a systematic process modeled on how quantitative hedge funds operate. The evidence comes in two kinds. Quantitative is the numbers, from yards per play to wind speed to line movement. Qualitative is what numbers miss: a coach under pressure, a locker room rebuilt in one offseason, two staffs with shared history. The real work is matching the two, checking every number against the story around it and every story against the numbers underneath it. The process never depends on anyone's mood on a Saturday.

Anyone can ask an AI about a game. A graded, stamped, publicly corrected record can only be built one week at a time, in the open, with the misses left showing. That record is the product. We are building it where you can watch.

IT’S A GAME, HAVE FUN. IF IT’S A BET, HAVE EVIDENCE!
